Barrett’s Alehouse – West Bridgewater
We stumbled upon this place quite by accident. It had just opened and we wanted to check it out so we headed in. Upon arrival, we were seated at a booth in a large dining area. There was an outside bar/deck with live music playing that night, in which I made a mental note to check this place out with friends on our next girl’s night. Tonight though, I had the kids and hubby.
The kids choose their meals from the kid’ menu which was also a bonus for us since kids ate free with the purchase of an adult meal that day and every day! The kid’s meal comes with a fun drink and a hoodie cup for dessert, and also allows you to purchase a $5 arcade game card for half price. Yes, friends, I said arcade.
The restaurant has a game room, complete with a full arcade, air hockey, skee ball, prizes and all to entertain the kids while they wait. We bought each kid an arcade card and off they went to win as many tickets as possible and get some amazing pieces of crap. We opted for the $10 game card which buys you a good half hour of a date night with your hubby before the main meal comes.
We eventually coerced the kids back to the table with the allure of food and they brought their newly won treasures back to play with at the table.
As we were leaving, a singer/guitarist was just beginning to play a set by the lounge area. It has somewhat of a sports bar feel with TV’s everywhere but is a great place to take the kids for a fun night out for all. I will definitely be heading back there without kids to check out the entertainment.
