School Street Playground – Westwood, MA

We are always looking for new playgrounds to check out. This was a favorite of a friend, so we headed on out to Westwood to see what the talk was all about. The playground is a great little space fenced off next to a field with parking right in front. While there was not much shade on the actual play structures, they did have a gazebo with picnic tables to cool down at and get out of the sun.

The playground was recently redone with all new equipment and offered something for all ages. My son loved what seemed like an obstacle course – going from one section to the next. They had rock walls, balance beams, slides, climbing structures, lots of spinning things, swings and more.

Few things to note:

• porta potty outside the fence for emergencies
• you can technically walk down the street to a pizza place if you wanted to grab lunch
• Small and contained – would be good for more than one child
