Uno’s Pizzeria – Make Your Own Pizza – Dedham, MA
https://unos.com/locations.php
My son’s fourth birthday was coming up and we were looking for somewhere fun to celebrate. We discussed the normal options – Friendlys, Chuck E Cheese, etc but decided we wanted to try something new. This is how we discovered “make your own pizza” at Unos Pizzeria!!
We ended up booking an impromptu birthday party last minute at Uno’s which included an array of fun for the kids. We arrived and were greeted with chef hats and stickers to place on a paper pizza. The kid’s menus had games and mazes and coloring as well. From there, drink orders were taken (chocolate milk comes with the meal deal) and then it was time to make our own pizza! They asked the kids what they wanted for toppings and then brought them each dough, sauce, cheese and toppings to whip up their own pizza concoctions. The kids had a blast making it themselves and couldn’t wait to see them be baked and come back out to eat.
A few minutes later, the pizzas came back out and the kids went to town devouring their creations. After pizza time, it was make your own sundae time (also included in meal deal.) They brought each kid a scoop of ice cream and then a variety of toppings; hot fudge, cookies, oreas, sprinkles, M&Ms, etc to sprinkle all over their ice cream.
Because it was my son’s birthday, we also ordered a cookie cake for him. According to him, the best part of the entire evening was when all the waiters and waitresses came clapping and singing over to him with the cookie cake and candle. His face lit up!
After the kids hit a sugar high, the waitress whipped out computer screens for each of the kids to sit quietly and play games. This allowed the adults to chat (and most importantly finish up their sangria pitcher.) The games are part of the package as well and can be used the entire evening if you prefer.
Both the manager in Dedham and the waitress were absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful evening celebrating our little guy!
Side note: what I described above was the “birthday celebration” meal deal which was only $9.99 for everything. You can also go at any time and just do the make your own pizza for around $5. Better yet, on Tuesday evenings, Kids Eat Free!!! And even better???? Apparently, on Tues nights, the Dedham location has a balloon guy, face painting and other fun things to do for the kids.
Want to go without kids? They have trivia night as well.
All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by Unos Pizzeria and are already planning our next dinner out.
