Snowflake Shavery – Sharon, MA

I love dessert. It’s a problem I have. My kids love dessert, my husband loves dessert. SO, when a new dessert place opens, we have to check it out. According to their website, shaved snow is “when ice cream and shaved ice fell in love, got married & had a baby.” What could be better?! I was excited to check it out because of the thought of eating ice cream without the guilt/calories. My kids were excited to try it because they heard that you could put gummy bears on top of the snow. What could be better than that?

They have a few different flavors of snow to choose from; coconut, black sesame, pina colada, green tea, strawberry, traditional, and vanilla. I hear that the black sesame is delicious but tried pina colada myself. You can then add all sorts of toppings and syrups to it; including yes, gummy bears.

They also offer bubble tea. “Bubble tea is a cold, frothy drink made with iced tea, sweetened milk or other flavorings, and usually with sweet black balls or “pearls” made from tapioca.” There are many flavors of bubble tea to choose from, my favorite being the milk teas with boba balls. I happen to have a sweet spot for bubble tea as my brother once owned a bubble tea shop in Harvard Square. This allowed me to quickly become addicted to the cold, chewy deliciousness of this drink.

All in all, a nice addition to Sharon. There are tables to sit at and board games for the kids to play.  I’m a bit more excited about the bubble tea aspect of the shop but to each their own! Hey, who can argue with gummy bears?!
