Family Funway – Foxboro, MA
It was a Saturday night and we were looking for something fun to do with the kids. My daughter had been dying to check out the waterfalls and caves off of Rt 1. so off we went to visit Family Funway in Foxboro. It’s easy to get overwhelmed here, but we told the kids they could each do two things that evening. We took a tour of the area first and made our way through the mini golf course. It’s a beautiful course with waterfalls, ponds, bridges, caves and fountains galore. We didn’t actually play a round of golf this time around, but the kids had fun checking out the decor.
From there, we headed over to the Bumper Boats. Both kids were incredibly excited to be driving these boats and squirting water guns at each other. Yes, its mid-September so it got a little cold from all the water fun, but it was definitely worth it. My husband and I each manned a boat with a kid to ensure they could get back to shore safely and to prevent them from simply spinning in circles or squirting the man in charge.
They also have go-karting, batting cages, and a trampoline bungy thing. You can buy a three pack pass for some of the other things or you can buy mini golf separately. Mini golf is by far the best bet there, both dealwise and timewise. Otherwise, I found the tickets to be a bit pricey for 5 minutes in a bumper boat.
All in all, a nice way to have a little fun with the kids. They have Dippin Dots ice cream there too and a snack bar! Fun!
