McDonald’s – Norwood, MA and Stoughton, MA

Ok Ok so I know this isn’t anything new – it’s McDonald’s.  All kids love McDonald’s.  However, did you know that there are two McD’s around these parts that have awesome indoor playlands? So yes, its not the classiest of places but sometimes you just HAVE to get out of the house.  You have two screaming children, its only 3pm and you haven’t a clue what to do with all this pent up energy.  On days like those, I suck it up and head on out to McDonald’s playland.  Even if its just for an hour.

Why not really? Its free, its warm, its a safe contained environment, they have a place for me to sit and get a warm beverage, and they have free wifi!  Even better? Both kids love it!  The Stoughton playland is not quite as large as the Norwood playland but its nice to vary them up a bit.  My lil guy is also able to do the Norwood one easier – without me having to give him a lift up the steps and follow him in, but the Stoughton one has a separate little spot for little ones with a baby slide.  When the kids have worked up a sweat and tired of the playland, we typically splurge for a $1.19 hot fudge sundae.  This helps kill a lil more time and keep everyone happy.  What could be better than dessert before dinner, right? (Mom of the year here)

So next time you’re sitting home in the dead of winter going stir crazy as two kids are piled on top of you screaming, think of me, don’t be ashamed and head on out to the big yellow arches.  You’ll be glad you did.
