The Penny Candy Store

I recently was charged with the task of making a Candy Crush birthday cake. I thought to myself, where on earth will I be able to find all of those specific candies to make the cake? Hidden off of Route 1 in Sharon in the back of what looks like a warehouse park is the Penny Candy store. While it doesn’t appear that way, this place is actually a humongous candy warehouse open to the public! They have any and every kind of candy you could possibly imagine. Room after room after room. They have over 1,000 different kinds of candy on display, many of which you won’t find anywhere else. Chocolate too!
My son and I had a blast looking through all of the different choices. It was hard to leave with just a few. While my needs for the cake were to just find a couple specific things, I can imagine that this would be an amazing place for baby showers, bridal showers, bar mitzvahs, birthday parties, wedding candy buffets and such.
(Note: I realize that my cake isnt an exact replica of the game – I got a bit overwhelmed at the store and just bought a variety pack)
Few things to note:
- Its not really stroller accessible – there are stairs to get in and two double doors to get through
- Check out the big bins right in front of the register – they have their “deals” in there. I think they’re all 25 cents!
