It’s winter – a wonderful time of year where parents and kids alike go stir crazy trying to figure out how to entertain themselves without going outside.  Lucky for us, we have a plethora of indoor playgrounds to choose from to get that energy out.

Kidsports is a multi-faceted facility that offers everything from an indoor playspace to kiddie bowling, pirate themed laser tag, plaster painting, birthday parties and more!  They even have a Preschool, Pre-K, after school programs and camp.

Let me preface this post by saying that my kids and I have only experienced the indoor play area so that is all I can really speak of.  They have a nice climbing structure for older toddlers/kids to scale and race down a set of three slides.  Younger ones might have a harder time getting up the structure and I can tell you from personal experience that it’s not much for climbing in there as an adult to help a persistent toddler up.

They have two jumpy houses which are always a hit with my crew and a smaller area for little ones to play.  Other than that, there is a bowling alley in the middle of the playland which you have to pay extra for as well as a multitude of arcade games which take quarters.  I find this part a bit frustrating as I have already paid my $8/child to get in and have to constantly tell my daughter that we can’t use these extras.  It’s hard for a toddler to understand that.

They have an area for parents to sit and offer food and drink as well.  We have only ever gone in the morning during the week when it was pretty quiet inside and we had the place to ourselves.  I have heard that it is a bit crazy on the weekends so keep that in mind.

Not our favorite of indoor playgrounds but when you simply need somewhere to go to let out some energy and the kids are tired of the same old options, this one came in handy!  I came here a lot when my son was first born.  They let him in for free and I sat there with a friend nursing him while my daughter and her friend ran off having a blast.  For that, I am grateful 🙂
