Lil Folk Farm – Holliston, MA
Pony rides, birthday party
Looking to plan a birthday party for your litle one? We went to the coolest birthday party. (Shout out to Ally!) It was at the Lil’ Folk Farm and started by bringing everyone up to the top of the barn. We dropped our stuff and headed out for pony rides for the kids. Each child got to ride a pony twice around a coral led by a farm worker. So much fun! From there, we were led into the first floor of the barn where we could visit some of the animals living there. We were allowed into a large area of the barn where goats, sheep, rabbits and chicken were roaming. You were allowed to pet, brush and feed the animals who came right up to you. A lil too close for some kids but my daughter loved it. They also wrapped some of the bunnies and chickens in blankets and let the children hold and hug them. They had a few other animals on the farm to see, pigs, donkey, alpaca and llamas I believe.
After the petting zoo, the kids were led back up to the second floor of the barn where they were treated to hand sanitizer, pizza and ice cream. They also had saddles upstairs that they could test out or for a photo opp. It was a really neat venue for a party. It was nice too that a lot of it was indoors out of the heat, sun and potential rain. Seems like they also do a summer program and classes there if you have a horse fan in the family. Check it out if you’re lookin for a different kind of birthday.
