We were looking for a fun place to “walk” the kids and the dog and decided to check out the fitness trail near the Sharon Dog Park over by Deborah Sampson Park.  We parked in the large lot and made our way towards the dog park.  While young children are not allowed inside the dark park, the kids had a nice time sitting on the bench outside, watching all of the dogs running and playing.  They also snuck in a few furry pets and face licks from passing dogs by flashing their cute smiles.

We then proceeded down the trail towards the fitness path.  Along the way, every few feet, we found a piece of fitness equipment with a sign instructing what exercise was supposed to be down.  Whether it was a chin up bar, monkey bars, a balance beam, etc, the kids had fun working out.

To make things even better, the library sponsored a StoryWalk along the way. Each page of a story was posted on a wooden pole every few steps and the kids excitedly ran from one to the next wanting us to read the next page.

It was the perfect outing for little legs to get some fresh air and exercise for all.
